Pubs, churches, banks, schools and nursing homes will go under the hammer at auctions

A range of properties, from pubs to factories and from churches to banks, are set to go under the hammer in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next sale later this month.

Ian Tudor, General Manager of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This month there is something in our catalog for investors of all shapes and sizes with more than 200 lots across the UK, from Cornwall to Northumberland, with guide prices ranging from £ nil to £ nil £ 850,000. “

In the West Midlands, prospective bidders will be keeping an eye on the Nelson Inn on Portway Road in Wednesbury. It is currently a community pub with potential for development and has a guide price of over £ 195,000.

Close to Worcester, the Walter De Cantelupe Inn is located on Main Street in Kempsey, and it can either continue as a country pub or, with building permission, be converted into residential buildings. It has a guide price of £ 350,000.

In the Black Country, three nursing homes are listed for a total of more than £ 1.5 million.

All three premises in West Bromwich on St. Andrews Court and Rowena Court on Beeches Road and McLaren House on Bratt Street could be converted into apartments, apartment buildings or family houses with permission to build.

The youngest former West Midlands Police Station on the market is on Vicar Street in Sedgley, which could have a new future as residence or for various other purposes, subject to planning permission.

This building, which extends over 7,000 square meters, was once the local workhouse before it was converted into a police station in the 1860s. Parts are believed to date from the 18th century. It has a guide price of £ 260,000.

Also in the Black Country there is already a building permit for a commercial development at 315-319 High Street in West Bromwich.

With a guide price of over £ 595,000, the three-story former office building has permission to be partially demolished and converted into a 35-bedroom HMO.

The Button Factory on Maypole Lane in south Birmingham, which includes offices, workshops and courtyard shops on 4 acres, has a guide price of over £ 135,000.

Up in Stoke-on-Trent, the former Methodist Church and Assembly Rooms of St. Paul, built in the 1960s and occupying nearly an acre of land, have a guide price of over £ 250,000.

The buildings now known as The Winchester Halls on Winchester Avenue currently have planning permission for use as a daycare or community center, but could also be suitable for redevelopment as a new home depending on the planning.

Across town, the former Stanfield Kindergarten on Dollys Lane, which spans 0.58 acres, is listed at over £ 189,000 and has a range of uses, including residential buildings, provided planning permission is granted.

A timely lot is the property on Santander Bank at 91 Queen Street in central Morley, Leeds, which is offered for sale at a guide price of £ 335,000.

It hits the market as Morley faces a major transformation after receiving £ 24 million from the government’s city fund.
