A new chain of discount stores is bucking the trend of major streets closings and plans to open 50 stores across the UK.
JTF Central is well on its way to opening its first store in a former Mothercare store in Hull. Ambitious expansion plans will soon follow, which should create 2,000 new jobs.
The new company is a welcome boost in confidence for the retail sector, which has already lost 1,663 stores this year following the collapse of the Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Debenhams chains.
