He was treated on site by paramedics before being rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Despite requests for updates, West Midlands Police did not release any news of the shooting on Monday June 21st, so it was not known whether there had been any arrests.

But remembering the terrible incident, members of the “close” community shared their shock at the shooting.

A young mother told BlackCountryLive, “I feel very bad, I woke up in the morning and saw cops everywhere. I’m too scared to go out now and I have young children who have to go to school. “

“It shocked the whole community, we will always be careful now. You can hear it in other places, but not on our doorstep.

“We could use a patrolman in the area because we have a few vulnerable people who live on the streets.”

A third told our reporter, “We heard a loud sound like a big bang, we came out to see, and at first thought it was a car accident. We could see the taxi in front of us and another car behind it, thinking something like this had happened here.

“It’s shocking to us, we’ve lived here for 18 years and have never seen anything like it.

A fourth resident said: “I’m sad for his family, nobody deserved it. It’s a bit flat, as soon as the street was opened, life went on as usual. We have young racing drivers all the time, so when I heard the bang, I did it first. I didn’t think anything about it. I plan to put some flowers down as soon as the family is here. “

The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed by the police and the investigation is ongoing.

West Midlands Police urged anyone with information to contact the police via live chat on their website or to call the police on 101 using crime number 20/1126386/21.
