“Street Racer” sees vehicle confiscated

A driver is being prosecuted after his vehicle was confiscated on Monday evening (August 30th) for alleged road racing.

The West Midlands Police Traffic Unit reported that the driver, who had previously received a Section 59 warning, was spotted again on the same crime.

On Twitter, the police said: “Illegal street racing will not be tolerated.”

Section 59 allows the police to warn drivers if they have used their vehicle in a manner that causes “alarm, distress or nuisance”.

If you report it again within one year, the police have the right to confiscate the vehicle.
