ITV This Morning Doctor announces hidden carbs you’re eating that you need to get rid of right now

An ITV This Morning has revealed the hidden carbs you’re eating that you need to get rid of right away.

In a new interview on This Morning, Dr. Zoe Williams with Phillip Schofield, where she addressed the danger of grain.

About the carbohydrate content of the muesli, Dr. Zoe: “84 g per 100 g, so the corn flakes are almost 85 percent carbohydrates. [Whereas] Blueberries are 10 percent, they’re 10g per 100g.”

She then said: “You can lead a low-carb lifestyle and that has benefits for some people, but one change I think people can consider is switching from refined carbs to whole grains.

“Let’s take bread as an example: black bread instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white rice.”

dr Zoe said: “So carbohydrates are one of the three macro food groups that we get our energy from, along with fats and proteins.

“Not all carbohydrates are created equal – there are sugars, starches and fiber. We know that fiber is really good for us. They lower our cholesterol levels and reduce our risk of intestinal diseases.

“Sugar, lots of refined sugars aren’t good for us, but we have the idea that carbs are bad for us – cookies, sugar, donuts, but we have to look at them differently.”

dr Zoe added: “When it comes to reducing or eliminating carbs altogether, we saw that there are three million people out there [who] have tried and for most people they are not able to keep it up, they cannot keep it up.

“However, there is a community of people — the low-carbers — who have made it a way of life rather than dieting.

“[And] long term, they have committed to significantly reducing the number of carbohydrates they eat for the rest of their lives, [and] this can be very helpful for your health, especially if you are at risk of type 2 diabetes or have type 2 diabetes.

“There’s no right, there’s no wrong, it really depends on who you are.”
