Police and the bomb disposal unit are currently at the scene of an incident in Lea Hall near McDonalds. Officers and bomb disposal experts from the Royal Logistics Corps Bomb Disposal Unit have been called to Garrett’s Green Lane.
Police were sent to the scene shortly before 7pm tonight (Wednesday, April 27). A picture, which has been given to BirminghamLive, shows police cars and an army disposal unit parked on the road.
A police cordon is also in place. There are no reports that bus services have been affected by the incident and traffic has also been unaffected.

The scene is at the busy junction of Meadway and Garrett’s Green Lane. Traffic service Inrix showed no issues for traffic caused by the incident. We will bring you further information on this incident as it becomes available.
