Several crews are fighting a fire on Marriott Road in Netherton. The blaze started this evening with engines from multiple West Midlands Fire Service stations attending the scene.
Anybody who lives in the local area has been instructed to keep their windows and doors closed to avoid smoke inhalation. The incident was reported on the official West Midlands Fire Service Twitter account @WestMidsFire in a 9.54pm post this evening that read: “We have a number of crews in attendance at a fire on Marriott Road, Netherton.
“If you live in the local area, please keep windows and doors closed.” The West Midlands Fire Service has a commitment to “making the West Midlands safer, stronger and healthier”. The brigade would also like to remind members of the public not to report a fire on Twitter but to call 999 in the case of an emergency or 03300 589 000 for non-emergencies.
