The M6 southbound has been closed tonight following a serious multi-vehicle crash. The motorway is expected to be closed for several hours.
The southbound carriageway is closed between J4a (Coleshill) and J3 for Coventry. The link road from the M42 onto the M6 is also closed.
National Highways West Midlands confirmed the motorway had been closed between the junctions. It comes after traffic was stopped at around 9pm.
Traffic officers are at the scene along with emergency service colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service. An air ambulance has also been seen in the area, according to reports.
