No West Midlands Railway services on Wednesday or Thursday

WEST Midlands Railway has warned passengers not to travel on Wednesday or Thursday, December 28 and 29 as strike action by the TSSA union means no service will run on any of its routes on these days.

Ongoing industrial action by the RMT union is expected to affect timetables until January 7, and people have been advised to only travel if ‘absolutely necessary.’

West Midlands Railway customer service director Jonny Wiseman said it was ‘dissapointing’ journeys would continue to be affected by industrial action over Christmas.

“A reduced service is in operation on some routes across the Christmas period due to ongoing industrial action and passengers traveling in this period should check before setting out.

“Anyone whose train is canceled as a result of industrial action can claim a full refund from their point of purchase or travel on an alternative date.”
