Deliveroo investigation video after the driver caught “poop in the alley” in Chelmsley Wood

Deliveroo investigates after a driver was allegedly caught defecating in an alley in Chelmsley Wood.

A video shared on Facebook showed a passerby confronting a man after apparently catching him red-handed in Crossman Close at around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29.

The man can be heard apologizing before the footage shows him taking out a black plastic bag and bending down to clean up the clutter left on the sidewalk near a house.

The person behind the camera asked the man, “Who do you work for?” He replied “Deliverooo”.

Speaking to BirminghamLive, the man who shot the video, who doesn’t want to be named, said, “I didn’t order it. I went from a friend and went around the corner to see him crouch and go about his business. [It was] disgusting.

“So I did what I thought was right and got him to clean it up.”

Deliveroo confirmed it was investigating the incident and said it has since “clearly communicated to all drivers in the area” the importance of respecting the communities in which they worked.
