A CRICKET game between two teams of NHS staff from the Midlands will be held to raise funds for health care charities.
Held at Hagley Cricket Club on September 5th from 11:15 am to 4:00 pm, the event will raise funds for the Birmingham NHS Trust of University Hospitals and the Royal Orthopedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the charities that support them.
All proceeds from the event will be shared equally between the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, which supports Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals and The Royal Orthopedic Hospital Charity, and will be used to improve services for children and young patients in both foundations.
There will be lots of fun for the whole family, including a bouncy castle, face painting, food, drink and ice cream, as well as a raffle.
Prizes include a bed and breakfast and afternoon tea at Park Regis in Birmingham, £ 50 Chung Ying restaurant vouchers, the Cadbury World Family Pass, a £ 100 Gym Shark voucher, Philips electronics and more.
A silent auction will also be held for items such as afternoon tea for two at The Ritz in London, a cricket shirt signed by English batsman Jason Roy and a bat signed by the Sussex Cricket Club.
Fundraising income for the Royal Orthopedic Hospital Charity has fallen by £ 25,000 after so many events were canceled because of the pandemic.
Anyone who would like to volunteer or donate a raffle prize on this day should call the Charity Fundraising Team at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital on 0121 685 4379.
Tickets to the game are £ 2 per adult and £ 1 per child (under 4s are free). Family tickets (two adults and two children) cost £ 5.
The doors open at 10.30 a.m.
