Alpha Manufacturing welcomed Michael Whitfield to the company as commercial director.

In his new role, Michael – who has worked for JCB for 15 years – will work with commercial director Robin Eley and technical sales engineer Corey Hammond to develop relationships with new and existing customers.

The tire giant Michelin has appointed Conor Twomey as communications director for Great Britain and Ireland.

The role includes public relations, social media, events and internal communications in the UK and Republic of Ireland and covers the full Michelin brand portfolio including car, motorcycle, bicycle, truck, bus, agricultural and construction tires, the world. prestigious Michelin guides, as well as Michelin’s growing interest in sustainable industries such as hydrogen energy and high-tech materials.

Conor brings more than 20 years of both journalism and public relations experience to his new role at Michelin, having worked for numerous media outlets in Ireland and the US before starting a new public relations career in 2010, moving to the UK In 2013.

Since then he has worked in PR for Jaguar, FIAT, Alfa Romeo and most recently Mitsubishi, where he also oversaw social media, events, internal communications, partnerships and government affairs.

The sheet metal specialist KMF has appointed Ashley Mulby as Business Development Manager.

In his new role, Ashley – who joined the Newcastle-under-Lyme business from Heamar in Congleton – will support the group’s ongoing growth plans and be responsible for finding new customers, developing existing relationships and increasing sales.

He will spend his first month in the workshop to really understand KMF’s products and processes and to build relationships with his colleagues.
