Three companies, all in different fields of hospitality, have come together to help people plan a romantic weekend for Valentine’s Day to come.
Kenilworth Maidens and Castle, Warwick Courthouse and West Midlands Wedding Caterer of the Year Caviar and Chips are pooling resources to bring romance to Warwickshire couples.
The Virgins and Castle is a 16th century pub, one of the oldest in the county and part of Everard’s Brewery.

Like many other pubs and restaurants, they would normally be fully booked on February 14th – but not this year.
With lockdown measures still in place and pubs and restaurants banned from selling take-away alcohol, the hotel industry has been one of the sectors hardest hit by the effects of the coronavirus.
The owners of the virgins and the castle have kept the wheels moving with various initiatives such as winter barbecue, street food paella and Sunday roast to take away.
Now they have teamed up with award-winning wedding caterers, caviar and chips, and the historic wedding venue The Court House in downtown Warwick to help couples celebrate Valentine’s Day with a menu delivered to their doors.
Andy Lock, General Manager at The Virgins and Castle stated, “When we were open, lots of couples came in for a date night or even lots of first dates and we loved watching romances bloom in our pub! We sadly missed so many opportunities that our industry is marked with events and special menus, and it’s a great shame we can’t go all out
“So we thought we’d work with the brilliant Caviar and Chips chefs – they create bespoke menus for weddings every week – it couldn’t be more romantic! And then we needed help spreading the word and so on.” We’ve teamed up with the fantastic team at The Court House in Warwick to help us take orders and coordinate deliveries.
“We have put together a fantastic menu that people can order to take away and heat at home.
“It’s next best to have a special meal, and the chefs have put together the perfect menu with dishes like apricot, goat cheese, and almond-filled rack of lamb for two, or a salty celeriac steak as a tasty vegan alternative.
“For dessert, we went for a pampering brownie with dark chocolate and hazelnut. It’s a shared design, but it might be one thing that isn’t shared equally.”
Fiona Molloy, Business Development Manager at Court House Warwick added, “We are delighted that The Virgins and Castle have reached out to us to work on this together.
“While we’re unable to host events at The Court House, it’s something we all in the events and hospitality industry need to work together on something positive – it’s what we do best.”
“The menu looks amazing and I know our customers and visitors will love it.”
